We live right along the base of the blue ridge mts in SW Virginia.<br />We have a small farm with some herbs, flowers and veggies I take to a local farm market and<br />what's left over to the food bank. last year I <br />tried some garlic in a newer bed but it did not do very well, I think the bed needed more amendments. Last fall I put them in separate raised beds. Hope I did not plant them too deep though at about 3". But we had a pretty cold winter. I fertilized once with an all purpose, 10-10-10..but am wondering if next month a compost tea with fish emulsion would be good.
